What Blogs and Digital Democracy Forum is All About?

As I related in an earlier post, All-Blog or know as the National Alliance of Bloggers will be having a public forum on Blogs and Digital Democracy. Although it is a public forum, you will have to get an invitation from the organizers through emailing either Tony Yew or Jeff Ooi whose contacts are listed below a.s.a.p. (by Monday, October 1, 2007)

* For those who do get an invitation do keep in mind that places are limited thus whoever has r.s.v.p to attend the interview should do so or else you will be depriving another person who wishes to be there.

What’s it All About?

Is it just a gathering of bloggers?

No

Then, what does this forum plan to achieve?

To explain to people what blogs and digital democracy is all about. The meaning of terms such as citizen journalism, civil media etc. This forum will educate those interested in learning more about this field and topic of choice, how to utilize it better etc.

Who are the target audience?

Adovocates of freedom of expression, upcoming bloggers( especially outside Klang Vallye), opinion shapers, cyberactivists, journalist, lawyers, academics, NGOs, political analysist and researchers, and members of the diplomatic corp.

The event will be held on the 3th of October at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, Function Room,First Floor, East Wing, Off Jln Bukit Kiara starting from 7-10pm.
